The Evidence Based Apparel compression garments create a whole new technology called "Anatomic Garments" – making the other compression garments on the market obsolete. It has taken years of research, trial and discovery to come up with a base material that has a specific four way stretch material, containing a combination of Nylon, Polyester, and Lycra. Sewn into this 4-way stretch material are strategically placed strips of non-stretch material called Neuro-bands.

These bands start at your chest above your pectorals at the clavicle junction, move over your shoulders, traverse the top and bottom of your shoulder blades and connect to a panel that runs down the length of your spine. This banding creates two things-- a) a mechanical pull on the muscles, ligaments, and tendons and b) neurological signals to the brain. The combination of mechanical and neurological triggers create an assist to your bodies natural desire to balance itself.

The built in science of the garment creates a downward tilting in your scapula that subsequently creates more space in your shoulder joint. Your head and shoulders move back as well which takes the excess load (weight) and stress off the cervical and lumbar spine. We are now learning from cardio-pulmonary clinicians that it is the head and shoulders back which creates increased lung expansion thus greater capacity for oxygen in and out. This is a key feature that allows skiers and other athletes to participate in their activity/sport much longer than they typically would or to participate with less fatigue.

Alignmed's Evidence Based Apparel is a hostile environment for the growth of mold, mildew, fungi or bacteria. Our hypo-allergenic anti-microbial technology kills and repels bacteria before it can even embed in the fabric. Killing bacteria on contact reduces odors and fabric discoloration caused by the growth of bacteria and other foreign bodies. The result: maximum odor suppression and optimal fabric preservation.

French Terry Neuro-Bands ™ :

Incorporating double-sided fabric technology, the French Terry rigid construction allows for a very soft, comfortable surface against the skin. Neuro-Bands provide the structural integrity along the spine and scapula in our unique patent pending garment design having strong construction with a soft exterior is key.

How to fit:

Measurements Needed

Men-chest size, measured at the nipple line, Women- bust measurement, blouse or dress size.

Step 1: Pull the Posture Shirt up to each elbow; then pull overhead.

Step 2: Once the Posture Shirt is on, grab the back of the shirt in the middle at the hem and pull down.

Step 3: Pull each arm sleeve towards the elbow to eliminate any bunching of fabric under the arms.

NOTE: The Posture Shirt is designed to be worn against the skin; do not wear another shirt beneath the Posture Shirt. The amount of pull back the Shirt provides and the comfort level of the fit is a personal preference, size up or down as desired.

Fit Tips

• If range of motion in the arms is inhibited, size up.
• If fabric is bunching or very loose across the shoulders and/or in between the Neuro-Bands® and the desired 'pull back' of the shoulders is not being felt, size down.
• If fit is uncomfortably tight under the armpits, size up.
• If overall the fit is too tight or too loose, size up or down accordingly.

Sizing

Measurements Needed

Sizing is very important. The Posture Shirt needs to be snug on your upper body but not uncomfortable. Please review the sizing charts below carefully. If you believe you are in between sizes, we recommend for those who are lean and narrow to go with the smaller size. If your weight and chest measurements are at the high end of the range for a particular size, you should go with the larger size.
