Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) is a non-invasive, non- surgical treatment alternative for those patients who are not responding to traditional care for Chronic Back Pain, Neck Pain, Frequent Headaches, Muscle Spasms, and even failed surgery.

After a traumatic injury or surgery, the body immediately goes to work to try to heal itself. Part of this natural healing process involves the formation of scar tissue surrounding the injured area.  This scar tissue can impair mobility and can cause a chronic pain syndrome and render traditional therapies ineffective.  The main goal of MUA is to remodel (breakdown) this scar tissue to free the joint for movement and relieve pain.

MUA requires only 3 gentle painless treatments, is covered by most medical insurances and has helped thousands of people recover from injuries where all other therapies have failed. This procedure is performed by an MUA certified MD/DO, and or a DC, a Board Certified Anesthesiologist/CRNA, and a skilled nursing staff at an ambulatory outpatient surgery center.
